Truth Rising is a full color print of the original watercolor from the 2023 series, The First Temples Were Trees. A tribute to St. Brigid of Ireland and her four branches of Wisdom is represented by the central Celtic knotwork: hand, heart, head, hearth. Additional symbol motifs are found in this Celtic design: the four elements, four seasons, four directions, four Celtic festivals. The symbol behind the Celtic knot is a Tau cross. You might also see this as Truth. The Western Spring Beauties are Alpine flowers, early spring bloomers. Fragile and determined, symbols of new beginnings and hope for the future - attributes of wisdom gained. St. Brigid’s color is white. Stylized Bay Laurel leaves come in from the edges, also symbols of wisdom along with resurrection, courage and strength. Christ triumphant.
